Who’s the girl behind the camera?
Hi, I’m Sylvie—a camera-obsessed, peppermint tea-sipping, life-loving wedding & family photographer! I’m all about capturing real love stories, those candid laughs, happy tears, and everything in between.
Sure, you’ll choose your photographer because you love their work (and I hope you do!), but it’s also nice to know a little about the person who’ll be right there with you on some of the most special days of your life. So, here are a few random tidbits about me and the things that make my heart smile.
I grew up in Germany, but in 2009, I packed my bags and moved to the UK, thinking I’d stay for a year or two. Little did I know, I’d fall head over heels—not just for the buzz of London but for the rolling hills and charm of the English countryside.
Then in 2013, I met my wonderful English man in London, and it all just clicked. That’s when I knew this little island in the wild North Atlantic Ocean wasn’t just a stop along the way—it was home. And last September, I married that wonderful English man, making this chapter of my life even more special.
Now, I spend my days capturing love stories, from intimate elopements to big countryside weddings, always chasing those genuine, heartfelt moments that make life beautiful.
At home I am surrounded by my little whirlwind of a family: our two cheeky sibling cats, Toffee & Mint, and our wild Spaniel pup, Aska. I'm still trying to get that perfect group photo of all three together—it’s a work in progress, I guess!
When I’m not behind the camera, we love love love travelling, going on long, rambling walks, and spending cosy Sunday afternoons in the kitchen, attempting (and sometimes nailing!) new recipes. There’s always, ALWAYS good music playing, and if it’s a chilly day, you’ll probably find me nipping on a warming Scotch—it’s my little winter ritual.
I’m a full-on autumn and winter girl—the crisp air, crunchy leaves, and golden light just make my heart happy. But when it comes to Christmas? Obsessed doesn’t even cover it. Give me all the twinkly lights, festive tunes, and an embarrassing number of the best german Lebkuchen and Marzipan, and I’m in my element.
